Large 38-star American flag, approximately 12' 5" x 24' 2". Dimensions are close in size to a Navy flag, which typically measured 13 x 25 feet. The stars are arranged in an alternate design, 8-7-8-7-8. The stripes are 11" - 12" wide. It is pieced together with machine stitches overall, with a white cotton thread. The fabric is most likely wool bunting. Most of the stripes are constructed from one length of fabric. There is one vertical seam along the left side under the canton in the white stripe second from the bottom. The red stripe second from the top has a vertical seam 6" from the fly end. 0270 - Bill of Sale

Bill of sale written in white ink on both sides of black paper. Bill of sale lists foodstuffs and dry goods purchased by Mr. John D. Patrick of W. A. H. Loveland in Golden City, Colorado. Top of invoice dated July 21, 1868, however, monthly bill records purchases from December 1866 until January 1867. Register of sales enclosed in black wooden frame, both sides are covered in glass with two metal eyelets on top.

Large framed oil on canvas painting of William Austin Hamilton Loveland. Portrait is unsigned. The painting appears to consist of oil paint on a primed, 1x1 weave linen canvas, mounted to a simple mortise and tenon stretcher. It is framed with a period frame (est.) of hardwood (cherry or mahogany, est.), carved on the outside raised edge, with a gold-leaf detailed liner.
