The City of Golden diorama is one of three that were made especially for the Jefferson County Museum soon after it opened. They were crafted by Leila Reece. The miniature city shows Golden as it was believed to appear in 1879. An article in the Golden Transcript suggests there was some discussion about whether it was done correctly at the time. Several highlights include the county courthouse, cemetery hill, and the Coors Brewery.

One unused color postcard of the Old Miner Inn motel, restaurant, and lounge. Inn was located at 80 Clear Creek Lane in Golden, Colorado near the mouth of Clear Creek Canyon. Photograph on front shows inn with parking lot and cars. Clear Creek is to the right surrounded by foothills. The cut for the Welch Ditch crosses the center of the image above the inn's roof line.

Drawing depicts Clear Creek in center with the foothills in the background, and a cluster of several houses belonging to Eugenia Mitchell along the left side. Welch Ditch can be seen above the houses. Lower left corner signed E. Mitchell 1959. Drawing appears to be matted with a light paper matte which is cut unevenly. Three side of the matte are faded. Eugenia Mitchell once owned much of the property depicted in the drawing which was later sold to Jefferson County Open Space and the City of Golden.
