Name Golden Library
Details The oldest library in Jefferson County was incorporated on February 7, 1914 after a year of planning by four local women's organizations: Bay View, Fortnightly, Progressive, and Thursday Musicales. Members form the four groups incorporated the Golden Library and Improvement Association. The group bought property at 713 13th Street, where the library remained until 1961.

Wood desk originally used in the first library in Golden, CO, located at 713 13th Street. The desk was purchased by Myrtle Allen when the old library closed. Afterwards, the desk was used by the Allen family.

One insert for the Jefferson County Republican newspaper for "Golden Days: Special Edition" dated August 18-19, 1939. This edition commemorates the 80th Birthday of Golden. The pages are orange in color, there is a total of 16 pages. The complete program is on pages 8 and 9.
