The home was one of seven residences built by Orville Dennis to accomodate military personnel returning home after World War II. The photograph is taken looking west toward North Table Mountain that can be seen in the photograph. Also seen in the photograph over the right shoulder of Maurice L. Potter is the Fairmount Loch Lomand Grange and the old Fairmount school. A dated flat bed truck is seen in the photograph heading east on West 44th Avenue.
