Color photo of the 1855, 10 horse power used at the Pearce Ranch in Golden Gate Canyon. Thomas H. Pearce Sr. bought the horse power to saw wood and thrash. It was used on the ranch until 1916, when Pearce purchased a 1916 Witte 8 horse power gas engine.

Two unidentified woman are standing in front of the cabin and a man is sitting on the porch steps. The Reynold's family operated a 240 acre ranch next door to the Pearce family. Adam and Annie Reynolds lived with Annie's three daughters from her first marriage: Henrietta, Mary, and Elizabeth. Thomas H. Pearce Sr. married Henrietta Harry in 1900. Later, in 1912, the Pearces purchased the entire Reynolds Ranch. This cabin is moved to Clear Creek History Park in Golden, CO in 1994.
