Sleigh with wooden box on one pair of metal runners; single tree 48" long. Wood is weathered with iron connections, has wooden seat, front piece of box is missing. Green paint is faded as is black trim. Used by Koenig Grocery store in Golden, CO. Horse who pulled sleigh knew customers and would stop at each house whether there was a delivery or not.

The City of Golden diorama is one of three that were made especially for the Jefferson County Museum soon after it opened. They were crafted by Leila Reece. The miniature city shows Golden as it was believed to appear in 1879. An article in the Golden Transcript suggests there was some discussion about whether it was done correctly at the time. Several highlights include the county courthouse, cemetery hill, and the Coors Brewery.
