Description Black and white photo mounted on a brown mat backing. Image shows two women and a man standing at a street-front business entrance below a sign reading "Cook's Restaurant & Bakery." A post supporting this sign has the phrase "Regular Board $4 per week" painted on it. In front of the group is a sandwich board sign reading "Restaurant & Bakery / M.H. Washburn, Prop'r" with a handwritten menu of meal offerings written below. To the group's left is a window with "Restaurant" painted on the glass. Above that is a small sign which reads in part, " ... Office / ...B Holmes / Employment Agency." To the group's right is a shop sign that reads "Confectionary" both on the sign and in the window. On back is handwritten in ink, "Emma Frances Washburne [sic] / Evalyn Washburne [sic] / Golden Colo. about 1900." View is taken from the street possibly in front of the Opera House Block on Washington Street.
