Description Black and white photograph of the swearing in ceremony for Harold E. Bray who was appointed Sheriff of Jefferson County in 1962 to replace Sheriff Arthur Wermuth. The photograph is taken inside the Jefferson County Commissioner's Hearing Room at the Courthouse located on 17th and Arapahoe Street in Golden Colorado. The photo depicts the Bray family seated in the front row, from right to left, Joy Bray, Brett Bray holding his little brother and Geraldine Bray, Harold Bray's wife. Talking to Geraldine Bray is the current Undersheriff of Jefferson County, Eugene Brace. Of note, standing to the right of the framed Lincoln portrait wearing eye glasses and a white shirt, is Captain Charles Morris, soon to be named Bray's new Undersheriff.
