Title Legendary Sam's Inn
Date c. 1930s
Description Black and white photograph of the front of Sam's Inn with various product advertisements in the windows and ""Hi" Smoke Eaters! "V"" painted on the glass. The locals possibly called it Sam's Place. Sam's was located on the east side of Washington Avenue near the Golden Plunge. Hamburgers cost 5 cents. The victory sign in the window possibly recognized Golden's volunteer firemen, called Smoke Eaters. An unidentified woman is standing in the doorway located on the left side of the photograph.
