|Description||One color postcard of three women standing or sitting on Wild Cat Point which is located on Lookout Mountain near Golden, Colorado. Downtown Golden can be seen at the base of North Table Mountain and South Table Mountain. Written on the back: Golden from Wild Cat Point. Colonial Cody refers to the gateway between the table mountains shown in the picture in his autobiography. In 1859 he caught the gold fever, came to Auraria, (afterwards Denver), passed through the Golden gate to Blackhawk. His reference is, "On arriving at Auraria we pushed on to the gold streams on the mountains, passing up through the golden Gate and over Guy Hill, thence on to Blackhawk." P. 61|
