Description Poster of Colorado Legislative Bill creating the School of Mines in Colorado, celebrating the school's centennial in 1974. Front of poster contains an image of the original campus consisting of Matthew's, Jarvis Hall, and School of Mines, as well as a letter written by Governor John L. Routt in 1876 to Territorial Legislators. The reverse side contains reproductions of 1870 letter from Governor Edward M. McCook to the President of the Council of Colorado Territory stating that he signed the bill to "establish a school of mines", Bills to establish a School of Mines from 1870 and 1874, and a Constitutional Convention Article VIII from 1875-1876.
