The following items were in a folder labeled "Clay Mine Business": * 7 deposit slips to the First National Bank from (variously) The Rubey Clay Company (Special); The Jefferson Clay & Investment Company; Carrie J. Parfet; The H. M. Rubey Clay Company; and Geo. W. Parfet Estate, Inc., all dated between March 12 and March 30, 1959. *2 statements detached from checks, from The Denver Brick and Pipe Co., both for several thousand dollars, and both dated March 2, 1959. *3 promissory or mortgage notes dated November 1, 1901, in which the Geijsbeek Pottery company promises to pay with interest $1000 by Nov. 1, 1903. All three are signed by officers of the company and are stamped in the lower left corner as "3," "4," and "5." *A receipt dated June 21, 1934 from Argo Oil Company of Denver to J. E. McCall of Golden, for seven shares of the New Bradford Oil Company stock at $1.75 per share, for a total of $12.25. *An undated handwritten letter from Wilber G. Lewis to Geo. W. Parfet Estate Inc., asking for any historic mining memorabilia for his collection. *A legal document dated September 16, 1907, entitling Harry M. Rubey to half interest right and title of the supplies, livestock, mining equipment as purchased from Jess B. Gehman that were owned by George Parfet. *An undated bound report titled "Report on The Amount and Value of Clays On and Adjacent to Right-Of-Way State Highway 182 South and West of Golden, Colorado" prepared for the State Highway Department by A. N. Murray. Written at top of title page is "Property of Geo. W. Parfet Est. / Box 266, Golden, Colo." Not dated, ca. 1950. Typed on onionskin paper and bound at top. *An undated booklet titled "Parts List Including Adjustment, Operating and Lubrication Instructions Machine No. 2763 Model 30" from Bay City Shovels of Bay City Michigan. Cardstock bound with brass rivets. Inside the cover of this booklet are documents including a receipt for a Model No. B-16 Bay City Trailer for $1000 dated July 19, 1948; A sales memorandum from the War Assets Administration dated May 1946; an invoice for the purchase of a Byers dragline and crane shovel dated October 1949; and a letter regarding the use of equipment purchased from the War Assets Administration dated January 1947. |
