Narrative |
Scope & Content |
The narrative is typed on a legal size sheet of paper and includes a brief history of the bell and it's importance to Golden. It recounts the story of the ringing of the bell until it broke, to celebrate the Armistice on November 11, 1918. The narrative then goes on to detail plans to re-dedicate the bell at it's new home in the new City Hall on Armistice Day in 1968, and how they plan to inter a time capsule intended to be opened on Armistice Day 2018. Possibly written by DAR Regent Mary Margaret Baxter (1966-1968). |
