Gus traveled from New York to Colorado in 1869 via covered wagon. The woodburning stove owned by the family is in the Clear Creek History Park in the Pearce/Helps cabin. It was owned by Gus and Bell Koch, and still used by the family during the 1980s. Donated to the Golden History Museum in 1998. |
