Both Verne Lacer and his wife Mary D. Zuck Lacer were cremated upon their deaths. Verne Lacer moved to Golden in 1931, to accept a job as Principal at South School, where he earned $110 per month. Lacer founded the Cable Conduit Co., Inc. in 1969 in partnership with a Greeley man named Robert Hall. He and Hall ran the shop from 1969-1983, when Lacer handed over management of the company to his daughter Mary Lou. |
