Details |
Oswald Ellis bought a half interest in J. D. Slater's store in 1901 and the business operated as Slater & Ellis. The partnership disolved in 1903 and the business became a sole propietorship owned by Oswald T. Ellis. The business name changed to O.T. Ellis Dry Goods or just Ellis Dry Goods. Oswald's wife Nellie B. Ellis was equally involved in operations. The store continued to operate on Washington Avenue until at least 1954. |
