Details |
During Prohibition Golden found ways to have fun. The Lava Lane and the Rock Rest were two of the dance halls within driving or streetcar distance. The Lava Lane, high atop Castle Rock, was a whites-only establishment offering a tame version of the 1920s hot jazz sound. It burned down in 1927. See Rock Rest |
