Black and white photograph of Fred Beamer sitting in a wagon pulled by a white horse. A handwritten note on the back of the photo reads: "Mr. Fred Beamer with his old retired circus horse and vegetable wagon at 423 16th St. Golden." |
Provenance |
Fred Beamer was described in various newspaper accounts as a local "colorful character" who was known for his skill at ventriloquism, playing Santa for the kids for over 30 years, and selling vegetables off his vegetable wagon around town that he purchased every morning from Denver markets. He also owned Victor Electric Shop located on Washington Ave. in Golden. |
