Cabinet card image the Elmus Smith Grocery, taken c. 1881. A label adhered to back reads "This picture was taken in 1881 and shows the grocery store of Elmus Smith. This is the southwest corner of 11th and Washington Avenue, Golden, Colorado. Joseph Dennis is the driver of the delivery wagon. Others in the picture are unknown." Handwritten in lower right corner of label is "Neg. 3432." Handwritten in pencil above label is "Joe Dennis 1881." |
