Description |
Black and white photograph of the Stewart Building located at Washington Avenue in Golden, CO. A man on scaffolding is power washing the south side of the upper story to prepare the surface for repainting. A mural of a Native American kneeling is on the right. Originally, the mural was part of an advertisement for Rocky Ford Cigars first painted on the building in the 1920s, if not earlier. The mural has changed stylistically, over the years with each repainting. The mural was repainted in 1999 by Chris Krieg of Evergreen Signs. |
