Description |
Black and white digital photograph of the Easley Orchard House in Golden. Three women and a man are sitting on the porch, and another man is sitting on the round balcony above. The individuals are identified from left to right as Elwood Easley, one of Elwood's sons, Elwood's wife Deborah, their youngest daughter Bessie, and the next youngest daughter Anna is sitting on the steps. On back is handwritten, "This is the house called Orchard Home. A part of the farm Elwood Easley built in 1879 at Golden Colorado. A daughter Bessie Mae Easley was the first child born in this house in 1879. The house and farm was owned by Easley family members until 1940 when it was sold. In 1981 it was demolished. In this photo Elwood Easley sets with his two daughters Anna and Bessie Mae and his wife Deborah Mary 'Wood' Easley." |
