Description |
Black and white photograph three men holding sports equipment with the man on the right holding a poster advertising CSM Athletic Events Season Tickets for sale at $10 each. On back is handwritten, "8-30-67 / Pearson / Brennecke / Pike." The men from left to right are Robert "Bob" Pearson, Fritz Brennecke, and Clifford "Cliff" Pike. An undated and unattributed newspaper clipping includes a caption for this photo reading "An all-sports bargain is the way Cliff Pike, at right, describes the athletic tickets being offered Golden and Jeffco residents by the Colorado School of Mines. As suggested by the basketball Bob Pearson holds and the football in Coach Fritz Brennecke's hands, the $10 ducat admits the holder to all regular-season athletic events for which Mines charges admission. In football it can even be swapped for reserved seats. Pike heads a drive to push ticket sales." |
