Picture postcard with a photo of E. E. Stewart's Grocery store, dressed in bunting. This shop is located in the Stewart Building, located at the corner of 10th Street and Washington Avenue, Golden, Colorado. Next to the building a large advertising sign is visible reading "The Key to Better Baking..." The postcard is unused. On the back is handwritten: "1921 / Stewarts Grocery / G.A.R. A. R. C. / 1921 June 21-22-23." The building was decorated to celebrate the 42nd Annual Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic (G. A. R.) of Colorado and Wyoming, which was held in Golden on June 21-23, 1921. Other groups attending the Encampment included members of the Women's Relief Corps, Daughters of Veterans and Ladies of the G. A. R. |
