Description

Black and white photograph of the Colorado Central Roundhouse located in the foreground of the photograph. The city of Golden is in the background of the photograph. The Jefferson County Court House is located on the left side of the photograph in the background. The word "Golden" is written in the lower left corner.

A typed label on the back of the photo reads: "Golden from the North. Taken from hill behind present C. & S. railroad yards. Foreground shows roundhouse and shops of the Colorado Central railroad. Track and trestle across Clear Creek was Golden City & South Platte railroad started south from Golden toward Littleton. About 1880."
