Black and white photograph of the Chocolate Shop located in the south end of the Linder Block on the corner of 13th and Washington Avenue. A line of men are sitting on the edge of the sidewalk in front of the building. The front of the building has two large awnings. One awning is for Linder and Co. Hardware. A large free standing sign with the words "Baur's Ice Cream", "Lunches", and "Cigars" stands at the corner. Tracks for Tramway cars are visible along the side of the sidewalk. |

The Chocolate Shop was a luncheonette/bar located at 1221 Washington Avenue favored by locals. Ads from the 1920s advertised candy, ice cream, and cigars, among other items. Later, Doy Neighbors' Golden Nugget would occupy this same location. |
