This image was taken in 1950 in the family's backyard in Golden, Colorado. The elder Clark Carpenter was born in 1890 and was Mayor of Golden 1955-1962, was a Professor at the Colorado School of Mines, and also served as a Ward 2 Councilor in Golden. The grandson, Clark E. Carpenter, is the donor's father. |
