Burke was hired in 1958 by Sheriff Arthur Wermuth. Burke was promoted to Investigator in 1960 where he participated in the investigation of the kidnapping and murder of Adolph Coors III. He was promoted to Captain in 1968 and assumed command of the Department Communications Center and Records. |
