Description |
Black and white photograph of the Washington Avenue bridge spanning Clear Creek in Golden. Three women on the bridge are walking facing the left side of the photo, and three are standing on the bridge with their backs to the camera, looking down at workmen below. The men below the bridge are working at a machine that has steam or smoke coming from a pipe. Rocks in foreground with buildings in the background. On back is handwritten, "Ave Bridge / Shoring up the approach on bridge." Stamped in blue is a photographers mark, "Ford's" of Denver, and "717." Not dated. This is the Washington Avenue bridge over Clear Creek, possibly taken c. 1925. |
