Description |
Black and white photograph of a false-front building with signage on the front reading "Flour Feed" and "Grain Hay." On the side of the building are signs promoting an upcoming visit by the Sells-Floto Circus. In the yard next to the building, several young women in white dresses and hats are grouped, with other people off to the side. In the background is North Table Mountain. This unidentified mill building is believed to become the Rock Flour Mill warehouse in the early 1900s, located on the corner of 8th and Cheyenne in Golden. Prior to this, this building may have been the Colorado Milling & Elevator Co., also located at 8th & Cheyenne. The building as shown in this image makes an appearance in the Essany Film Company film "The Ranchman's Rival," filmed in Golden in 1909. |
