Description |
Tin and copper badge worn by Jefferson County Constables in the Golden Precinct. First issued to George Jennings in 1930 by Sheriff James Biggins, Jr. and passed down every two years to other citizens of Golden until 1964 when Constables were eliminated statutorily as a law enforcement function in Colorado. The words "Constable Jefferson County" surround the state seal of Colorado on the face of the badge. |
