Red Cross uniform smock. White linen, long sleeved Red Cross uniform smock with wimple. On front of wimple is a sewn-on label reading "Service / A.R.C Denver Chapter." Smock has front button closure with a self belt, also buttoned. A handwritten note accompanying the garment reads "Made and worn by Ava O. Close during World War I - Red Cross work - rolling bandages." |
