Double-breasted military jacket worn by George West, Adjutant General of the Colorado National Guard. Jacket is navy blue with long tails and decorative brass buttons engraved "Colorado." Collar and cuffs made from navy blue velvet. |

West was appointed Adjutant General of the Colorado National Guard by Governor Alva Adams. West served from 1887-1889. From that point on he was always addressed as General West. |
