Description |
Handcuffs, one large link joining swivels at each cuff; patented May 2, 1899. According to original museum records, these cuffs belonged to Sheriff Joseph Dennis, and were reportedly used on the murderers Seminole and Woodruff, who were hanged by vigilantes from the bridge at Jackson St. and 17th St. in Golden in 1879.* * As the patent date is 1899, these cuffs could not have been used in 1879. |
