Joyce Mester Wamboldt's wedding dress, 1966. White lace wedding dress; long sleeves of sheer lace with cathedral points at wrists, with a 3-snap closure. Mock sweetheart neckline with lace upper and white satin lace-covered bodice. At neckline is a decorative scatter of small white pearls and sequins. Basque waist with single wide panel of lace flowing down the center front. Right and left hip and back panel are white satin skirt with tiers of sequin-decorated lace from waist to hem. Underskirt comprises several tiers of white netting intended to fill out the drape of the skirt. Zipper back closure with self-lace bow, secured with hook and eye closure at waistline. |
