Description |
The City of Golden diorama is one of three that were made by museum staff for the Jefferson County Museum soon after it opened. They were crafted by Leila Reece. The miniature city shows Golden as it was believed to appear in 1879. An article in the Golden Transcript suggests there was some discussion about whether it was done correctly at the time. Several highlights include the county courthouse, cemetery hill, and the Coors Brewery. |
