Called the "Prince of Pioneers" in his time, Loveland was among the most prominent early citizens of Colorado. Buried at Fairmount Cemetery According to handwritten notes from Golden historian Irene Goetze dated April 15, 1966: "I called Riverside Cemetery & asked if a W. A. H. Loveland was buried there. They said records showed he was buried there Dec. 20 1894 & on Nov. 11 1899 he was taken up & buried in Fairmount Cemetery. I called Fairmount & they said they show a Wm. A. H. Loveland was buried there Nov. 11 1899." |
