Calvary Episcopal Church |
Details |
Founded in 1866 by Bishop George Maxwell Randall. Cornerstone of permanent home, laid in 1867, is more traditionally recognized as founding date, though congregation existed and worshipped in rented quarters prior to this. Worshipped in Loveland Block at today's 1219-21 Washington Avenue from 1867-1868. Congregation has used permanent home at 1300 Arapahoe Street since its completion in 1868. *** Established September 23, 1867, Calvary Episcopal Church is the longest established congregation using the original building, located at 13th and Arapahoe Streets. The structure has changed very little but in 1987 grading and landscaping beautified the corner site. |
