Established by the Koenig family in 1873 and later bought by prominent Denver businessmen William and John B. Church. Made renowned industrial and building brick products used to construct many buildings throughout Colorado, shipping into the American West, Mexico and China. Operated southern works at western end of 8th Street (1873-1895) and northern works southwest of Brickyard and Pine Ridge Roads (1890-1958 or 1963). Also known as Golden Pressed & Fire Brick Company, Golden Fairview Brick Company, and later annexed by Denver Brick & Pipe Company. |
