The building that originally housed the Golden High School was constructed in 1923-24 on a site along 10th Street, formerly occupied by the Eagle Corral. The architect was Eugene G. Groves and the contractors were Buckman and Axtell. Occupied in February 1924, the building continued as a high school until 1957 when it became Golden Junior High School, which closed at the end of the school year in 1988. |
