Hotel and restaurant once located at 1310 Washington Avenue in Golden, CO. The business operated from about 1943-1947. Named LaRay after a word made up from the first names of the new owners, H. Ray Hibbard and Lelia A. Hibbard, who purchased the old Golden Hotel from the Golden Savings and Loan Association in 1943. The Hibbards were seasoned hotel operators with experience runniung the Hillcrest Inn in Morrison, CO, from about 1936-1943. Marion Luther Holland and his wife Ethel purchased the LaRay Hotel from in 1946. |
