Notes |
Leila Reece was hired by museum to create museum artworks based on historical people and places in Jefferson County. Her work was funded by the Works Progress Administration. 1940 U.S. Census lists Golden Museum as her employer, Artist as occupation with $770 income in 1939. Burried in the Arvada Cemetery. Evidently the Beery name is from her mother's second husband, and Leila and her brothers sort of added it to their name, Reece. That happened in the early Census records, as the Census-taker just wrote down any name he or she thought were connected. |
