Established in 1872 as District #20. Extended from west 32nd Avenue to West 60th Avenue; from Mount Olivet Cemetery to Quaker Street. Prior to establisment this area was part of the Golden School District. THe first school was held at or near 54th and Indiana at what was then known as the Olford or Alford place.
