Metropolitan Barbershop |
Details |
The Metropolitan Barber Shop (later advertisements spell barbershop as one word) was established about 1912 by Charlie Herdic, according to old-timers. In 1918 Gilbert F. "Gib" Reeves and Elmer Grazier assumed ownership and put in new equipment. Reeves and Grazier ran the Metropolitan for about 10 years, when it was sold to C. M. Maxwell, and later to C. R. Straight. Gib Reeves again became co-owner with Mr. Straight, and later purchased Straight's share of the business. Reeves remained sole owner until his death in 1958, at which time the business was purchased by El Hetrick. |
